The four jurisdictions that own SBSA . . . West Bay Sanitary District and the cities of Belmont, Redwood City, and San Carlos . . .  each appoint a member of their council or board to the SBSA Commission. 

 

Pollution Prevention . . .

Through regulations and outreach programs, SBSA works with businesses in the service area to facilitate the convenient discharge of wastewater that is acceptable for treatment at the SBSA facility.

SBSA’s Engineering Department is responsible for improvements and replacement of the Authority’s capital facilities.  Engineering staff provides oversight, direction, and management of the capital improvement projects at SBSA.  We provide safe, innovative, sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective infrastructure to ensure the longevity of our facilities and protect the investment made by our service area customers.  We build successful partnerships with our peers, consultants, and contractors from a project’s inception through construction and into start-up with the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, honesty and fairness.
